Typhoon Lagoon or  Blizzard Beach? That’s a tough one. At Disney World they know how to make the most of the Floridian summer – bringing new entertainment for the whole family at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, two of the most popular Disney World water parks. So why not to have both then?

Disney World has announced weekend performances by calypso band “Tropicals” at Typhoon Lagoon this summer, a steel drums show that you can enjoy near the Crush ‘n’ Gusher water ride. The adorable Lilo and Stitch will be hanging around High N’ Dry shop, whereas good old Goofy will be at Blizzard Beach.

Walt Disney World will also introduce a new dining option at Typhoon Lagoon – Tropicalamity, which menu will feature from chicken jerk pita wrap to hot meatball sub or citrus chicken salad.

Even the fun will last longer this summer at Disney World Parks. Guests at Walt Disney World resorts can enjoy Extra Magic Hours that will be added to the normal opening times on select days at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach.

For those who haven’t visited the Typhoon Lagoon water park, this is something like going to a Caribbean island after a tropical storm, when the sun rises again over a wild and beautiful landscape. Surfboards, boats and fishing paraphernalia complete the ambiance at the Typhoon Lagoon.

Typhoon Lagoon’s sister water park, Disney’s Blizzard Beach, follows a similar concept but this time around, instead of hit by a tropical hurricane, the beach has been blasted by a snowstorm. Ski gear and breathtakingly steep slopes are now part of the set, a kind of ski resort with some of the most impressive water rides in America.
