Ultra Music Festival 2013: Miami At Its Wildest Best

Ultra Music Festival 2013 in Miami: The world’s premiere electronic music festival

This year’s Ultra Music Festival official teaser looks like an energy drink advert made by some old school shop floor designer at Camden Market. Strobe lights, futuristic, cyber-punk aesthetics and purple colour all over the place. It’s only missing dreadlocks.

But don’t let this tinny detail put you off going to one of the biggest dates in electronic music. Miami’s annual date with limitless hedonism and advanced sounds will surely be memorable on 2013 too. If you don’t believe it just take a look at the lineup.

All the big names in dance music you could think of will be there: Tiësto, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim and Richie Hawtin, to name a few. Apart from these bigger-than-life DJs there is also room for the geek beats of Hot Chip and the lo-fi vibes of Crystal Castles. Up and coming act Disclosure – South London brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence – will be there too, so, as they say in these cases, there will be “something for everyone.”

Ultra Music Festival, which this year celebrates its 15th anniversary, will take place during two weekends in March at Miami’s Bayfront Park. If you are thinking about attending this massive party, you are still on time for booking a holiday to Florida.
